Penguins Soar!

Foxboro, MA – Last night, the Penguins poured A1 Concrete onto the ice and kicked their asses in both the game and the ensuing fight. With the Penguins ahead 3-2 with under 30-seconds to play, A1 Concrete took to some cheap antics, only to leave the ice bruised and bloodied. Team Harmony Advisor Almeida, took a cheap shot to the jaw which drew his wrath. Once all sanity had left his body, Almeida used the A1 Concrete’s players face as a speed bag, working on him relentlessly until he was carted off the ice by his embarrassed teammates.

“We do not condone fighting,” explained coach Douchey from his home office. “And we do not negotiate with terrorists. But if you are going to fight, that’s how it is done. Our player was doing everything but handing out bandages and blankets, when #4 from A1 Concrete tried to take him out with a cheap shot. Almeida did the right thing. He lit the poor bastard up like a bottle-rocket. It was beautiful! Pure brilliance! His fist was moving like a piston, pounding #4 into submission! But again we do not condone fighting!”

The Penguins were shorthanded but still managed to take the puck to the net with goals coming from Roode 2, Lutfy and Topher. Most notable on the night is the strong performance from two players that have otherwise been invisible this season. Both Gugs and Bambam had a standout performance in last night’s tilt, giving all a sense of optimism for the future.

“I can’t say enough about those two,” admitted Tragakis after the game. “To see those two skate and play hockey with that kind of skill and prowess is extremely impressive. I was blown away. They looked a little different out there tonight, and it showed in their performance. Whatever it is I hope they keep up this new look!”

Also of note, Big Matt showed-up for his first game of the season, and executed a perfect breakout for the first Penguins score of the night.  With Dimock showing up every 11th game, who knows where this team will be in the future.

The Penguins are 2-0-1 in their last 3 games and on a two game winning streak.  The team is no longer solely in last place, but in a three-way tie for last place.

“This is what we had hoped for,” stated Roode 2 from the locker room. “We were hoping to be in a three-way tie for last place eleven games into the season and that is exactly where we are. I’m so proud of this team. To think we could actually pull it off is beyond me. We just have to keep it up the hard work and see where it takes us!  Who knows maybe we will be in a four-way tie for last place in another week!”

Next up on the Penguins schedule is a Sunday night game against The Herd, where there are sure to be more fireworks.  With the current state of on-ice emergency, it will be a special 'bring your own helmet to the game' night for the fans.
